Can anyone tell me if there is a 180 day Visa

Previously i have had a retirement and marriage visa but my wife is currently working in Korea and i don't have 800000baht in my account for the retirement, so it makes it a bit hard.

I do have my Thai pink ID card and the house yellow book but not sure if that makes any difference.

Our house is in Nong Khai Province

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about a 180-day visa option due to an inability to meet financial requirements for a retirement visa. Community members suggest alternatives, including the METV (multiple entry tourist visa), which can provide up to 8 months in Thailand with border bounces, and the DTV (5-year multiple entry tourist visa), which allows for 180-day stays per entry and has a lower financial requirement that can be met with funds from foreign bank accounts.

There's a METV multiple entry tourist visa, which with planning a couple simple border bounces, can get you Up to 8 months stay in Thailand.

The METV is issued and valid for 6 months.

You apply for it using the Evisa online application system. Look at the Thai Embassy or Consulate website where you live in Australia for the requirements for the METV visa.

Another option for you is the new DTV visa. It's a 5 year multiple entry tourist visa, with each entry granting you a 180 day stamp.

Again look at the Thai Embassy or Consulate in Australia for it's requirements. And any bank account, including those in Australia, you have can be used to show PROOF of the 500,000 Thai baht bank account balance requirement. The DTV visa fee is 10,000 Thai baht for the 5 year visa.
