TLDR : Answer Summary
The current visa exemption for Indian passport holders is confirmed to be 60 days, despite conflicting information from AirAsia Indonesia suggesting it is only 15 days. Immigration authorities and users in the community have verified that the exemption is indeed still valid for 60 days. There seems to be confusion due to differences between the Visa Exemption and Visa on Arrival processes.

there was never a 35 usd fee for visa exempt. A visa is still 35 bucks.

India was 'permanently' added to the 60 exemption list

that list and the 60 days is not permanent which is why India and some other countries are also still included on the 15 day Visa on Arrival list of countries
