So from understanding if I were to leave around the 50 day mark go another like Cambodia for a week and come back would that be okay? Would I be able to do something that several times? If my passport is good and I have a place to live with proof

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about leaving Thailand around the 50-day mark to Cambodia and re-entering to obtain a new visa exemption stamp. The response outlines that while there are no strict limits on visa-exempt entries, frequent re-entry may raise suspicions with immigration authorities. The advice suggests utilizing a border service to help with the re-entry process, but warns that repeatedly trying to live in Thailand on visa exemptions could lead to being questioned at passport control.
You clearly come from one of the 90+ countries that show up here and get stamped in for free for 60 days on the visa exempt program
You get 60 days when you enter, you can extend that one time for 30 days at the immigration office where you stay for 1900baht
While there technically is no limit to visa exempt entries (by air or land) what you won't be able to do is live here long term on them. Even with having proof of where you stay (which if anything only shows you're NOT a tourist at all ๐ฎ )
Sooner or later you'll get called out on it, questioned by passport control and denied entry.
I'd say you could probably fly in get 60, get the 30 day extension, use a service to bounce you out and back at the border to get a new 60 day entry stamp, get the 30 day extension and probably be able to use a service one more time for a 60 day entry and 30 day extension after that but that'd be pushing it and maxing out you milking free entry to 'live here'.
Staying in cambodia a couple days isn't gonna fool the officers at passport control into thinking you're a 'real tourist', they'll know all you're trying to do is get a new free entry stamp which is why I said "use a service to bounce you out and back". Post on a group where you will live and ask for recommendations of ones in your area
A service that takes you to the border, has the "wheels greased" so you can get out and back in without any issue. They are regional <- meaning they serve specific areas in thailand
So post on group related to where you live in thailand and ask for a visa run/border bounce service
as an American, do you have any recommendations for being there long term visa so I can be there legitimately? I have a guaranteed pay that is close to 4K usd a month and I am a 100% disabled veteran
I'd say come here free stamp, get the 60 days, take the 30 day extension, use a service to bounce out/back and get another 60 days w/30 day extension too,
Then use that 6 months in country to look for other long term visa options that may suit your needs/requirements
