Is the Thai Embassy in Laos currently open for issuing tourist visas for Thailand?
Question. Is Thai Embassy in Laos now open and issuing tourist visas for Thailand?
Answer summary
The Thai Embassy in Laos is open and issuing tourist visas. Both Savannakhet and Vientiane embassies are operational. However, it is important to check the respective websites for current visa requirements, as guidelines may have changed post-COVID. Additionally, an appointment is necessary for visa applications in Vientiane as walk-ins are no longer allowed.

You need to make an appointment. At least in Vientiane there's no walk-in anymore.

Wasn't this already the case in pre-covid times ?Brandon ************
Make sure you check the website of any consulate you go to well before you go. Many things have changed since covid and they are being very strict on requirements for a visa.
