Is the Thai Embassy in Hanoi closed during the public holiday from August 29th to September 2nd for visa processing?
I applied for the DTV visa at the Royal Thai Embassy in Hanoi on August 29th. However, I recently found out that Vietnam is having a long public holiday from August 29th to September 2nd.
Does anyone know if the Thai Embassy in Hanoi is completely closed during this period? I just saw a post from someone saying they received a document request email (RFI) from the Royal Thai Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday, so I'm wondering if Hanoi is also processing e-Visas during the holiday.
Any insights or recent updates would be greatly appreciated!

I just called them. They are open today then. I submitted on 29th and asked when I may be asked for further documents (didnt include my entry stamp). She said maybe 3rd or 4th.

DTV_BegPecker I read another post yesterday that states in Hanoi they reject applications if you flew from Thai to Viet directly....actually it sounded a bit odd to me. I can't find that message anymore.

yes, I agree. Makes sense to visit a country before applying for a longer term visa. But, you never know what they are thinking or looking for as most that are declined are without reason and often a mystery.Renata *******
