TLDR : Answer Summary
The K Bank branch inside the Chaengwattana immigration building has been closed since September 12, 2025. The nearest operational branch is located at IT Square Laksi Plaza, which opens at 11 AM. However, many K Bank branches have ATMs and Passbook Update Machines (PUM) outside, allowing users to perform transactions without waiting for the branches to open. It's important for users to ensure they have a recent transaction when updating their bank book, as the PUM will only show the last balance unless a transaction is made that day.

Just so we're all clear on what a K-Bank PUM (Passbook Update Machine) looks like,

Here's all three, the ATM (Automatic Teller Machine), CDM (Cash Deposit Machine) and PUM (Passbook Update Machine)

Some of the Kasikorn branches have ATM and book update machines outside branches so donโ€™t need to wait for them to open

... exactly, that's what I do in Chiang Mai, withdraw some cash then update the book at 07:15 and head round to the IO for an early queue. The OP just has to remember to make a transaction before the PUM update or it will only update until the previous transaction, which might have been the day before.

how about go to your local branch near your house and see if they have a PUM (passbook update machine) outside when you get the statement and bank letter.

If they don't have one outside ask them what branch nearby does have one outside the branch

okay, now when you go to update the bank book CHECK that it shows the balance tomorrow <- many books only update thru the last transaction and don't print a balance on the date you update the book unless there was a transaction done that day..

SO what that means is if you put the book in to update and it doesn't print the balance with tomorrows date you need to either take out 100 baht or put in 100 baht so that it will print a transaction w/balance for tomorrow

As Rob said either deposit or withdraw 100 baht at the ATM/ CDM and then go to the PUM

The Chaengwattana location of Kasikornthai Bank has been closed since the 12th of Sept 2025

and

the closest location will be the one at IT Square Laksi Plaza <- which BTW; doesn't open until 11am. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

the year statement, the bank letter etc can all be up to 7 days old

You need to update the bank book the day you apply for the extension though SO you have to do that before you get there tomorrow

Just update the bank book in an atm. Make a transaction first eg take money out then update it.

can't update the bank book at an ATM you can only do it at a passbook update machine

not a good idea. The bank letter, statement and book should all have the same balance.

My apologies
@Dick *******
you are partially correct ๐Ÿ˜ฎ There are a couple persnickety offices ๐Ÿ˜• that want everything to have the same dollar amount, Thankfully for the O/P Chaengwattana is NOT one of those offices

Sorry to have said there is no requirement, a few offices DO indeed have that restriction.
