Google shows me there is an immigration office on Koh Samui. Is this the closest office to Koh Phangan? And can one get a 30 day extension here? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, the immigration office on Koh Samui is the closest one to Koh Phangan. Visitors can obtain a 30-day extension there if they hold a 30-day visa-exempt entry or a 60-day tourist visa. The office is located in Maenam Soi 1 and operates Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Additionally, there are ferry options to get from Koh Phangan to Koh Samui, with recommendations to use the Seatran Ferry during rough sea conditions.

The sea is very rough in these days, don't wait the last second to come to Samui. When the sea is so rough you better use Seatran Ferry.

Can anyone offer info on how to get from Phangan to Samui for this purpose?
Liran, ferry round trip costs 400 baht if you leave from Had Rin to Big Buddha Pier (45 minutes), 600 baht if you leave from Thongsala to Seatran Discovery Pier Bangrak or Lomprayah Pier Maenam (20 minutes).
