Hi! My mom and son are traveling here on May 12. Do you know if the 300 baht tourist tax is in place now? Do you know how they accept payment if it is in place? I tried to google, but was not getting a straight answer.

TLDR : Answer Summary
No, there is currently no 300 baht tourist tax implemented in Thailand. Travelers do need to complete an electronic arrival card (TDAC) before arrival, but there are no additional taxes to pay upon entry.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

you will need to have them fill out a TDAC before they come here

That program starts for people entering on May 1st onward

There is an airport surcharge for Thailand but it’s included in your ticket

Don't worry no tourist tax so nothing to pay only your electronic arrivals card within 3 days of your arrival.

There's NO 300 Thai baht tourist tax.

Such a proposed tax never has been adopted.
