Is it true that the COVID visa extension for 60 days can be extended again at Thai immigration?

I just finished doing the covid extension for 60 days at MTT. Counter J was not too busy and the process was smooth.

My current extension would end at 11 april, the immigration police at the counter said that the covid extensions would be extended and he told me I could come back and do it later, I dont know if this has been confirmed elsewhere.

Remember to copy your passport, TM-6 and stamps, the copy service was quite crowded today.
