Hi everyone, I have a question about a Non-B visa. My partner is renewing his 1 year Non-B visa after a year. Our accountant is charging us 25,000THB, which is the same amount we were charge to set it up a year ago. We thought it would be less to renew it after a year. Is this standard? Do you pay the same amount every year to renew your Non-B visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired whether the 25,000THB fee for renewing a Non-B visa in Thailand was standard, as they were charged the same amount for the initial setup a year ago. Community responses clarified that the renewal process involves the same paperwork as the initial application, explaining the high cost. Others mentioned that handling the renewal personally could significantly reduce costs to around 1,900THB.

I do not know about visa Non B, but normaly you ask for a extension of stay for 1 year, based on the same visa in your passport.

You don't renew, you apply again. It is the same process again.

If you do not like the fee, then do it yourself. It is pretty simple and only costs 1,900 thb.

It’s exactly the same paperwork renewing as it is for the initial application so can’t see why they’d charge less.
