Is it possible to obtain a DTV in Chiang Mai through a cooking class while transitioning from China?
Hello Fellow Expats and adventurers. I am A USA citizen currently living and teaching in Chongqing China and looking to get my DTV to move to Chiang Mai in August. I have residency in China -and the visa in my passport for it. I am planning on signing up for a 6 month cooking class that people report getting the DTV with in China Mai. Do you think it's possible to obtain a DTV and this will fly? I have a decent amount of stuff as a musician living here so want need to make a solid transition outta China. Thanks for any input/experience.

Not sure why you bring up your musician stuff, working in Thailand as musician using a DTV not allowed.
Why not go for purpose workcation and continue your on-line teaching job?
Go legal and follow the rules if you like a solid transiton or enjoy the risk of moving all back.
