TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the waiting times for visa applications at various Thai embassies, with users sharing experiences of delays that range from several days to multiple weeks. Participants express frustration and concern over the processing times, especially given local and national holidays that may affect responses. They encourage each other to be patient and share informal updates.
Be patient. Imagine the number of applications they get each single day... 4-5 days for a 5 years visa is nothing much.

I've been waiting for Paris for three weeks now. I submitted my application on the 15th and am still waiting for my documents to be verified. It takes forever in France.
In Paris, it takes up to a month, it could be worse. Mine took more than 2 months.

I didn't even receive a confirmation email when I submitted my application. I contacted them a week after submitting the application, and they told me that it had been registered and that I had to wait.
I'll contact them again next week if I still haven't heard anything. In Paris, it has a reputation for taking a long time, and with the public holidays in May, it's delayed even further.
Same for the business visa applied in Hanoi as well. I applied on the exact same day. Hopefully, there will be an update either later today or tomorrow.
