TLDR : Answer Summary
When denied entry into Thailand at the airport, the decision on whether you can return to another country instead of your home country typically depends more on the airline policies than on the Thai immigration officials. To avoid such situations, it is advised to obtain a visa that suits the purpose of your stay and to have sufficient funds, proof of onward travel, and accommodation ready.

Get a visa thats fits the purpose of your stay and be prepared with the 20.000 Thb or equivalent currency in cash, proof of onward travel and proof of accommodation. Good luck.
