TLDR : Answer Summary
There is no official seasoning requirement for the 400,000 baht needed for the Guardian of a Child visa in Thailand. It must be in a Thai bank account in your name on the date of application, but there is no specific duration that the funds must be held prior to applying.

and just like that we're done. Good luck to the O/P and make sure that you ask the immigration office that you're using what their policy is on it :)

If you are talking about getting a year extension based on raising a half thai child using the 400K baht banked money method there is no "official" seasoning required on the funds <- meaning that there is nothing written IN the immigration rules that state the money needs to be seasoned.

All the rule says is that the 400K baht has to be in a thai bank account in your name only on the date you apply

NOW with that being said; some immigration offices treat a yearly extension based on raising half thai children the same way as marriage extensions and tell people the seasoning is 2 months before you apply for the extension

SO check with your immigration office.

when I applied for it 4 months ago, I had to "season" 400k for 7 days before applying for extension.
