Hi, my DTV just got approved in Hanoi as remote work, after 8 days of wait.
I worked with ISSA Compass and the service has been great from beginning to end. It’s definitely worth using an agent I reckon, it’s expensive to wait in a random city for up to two weeks so I wouldn’t take the risk to mess up the application for a silly mistake after waiting 10 days in a hotel somewhere. A bit different if you doing it from your home town I guess.
Besides, they offer full refund in case your application is rejected, not to mention that 18 000 thb for a 5 year visa isn’t exactly expensive, that’s 9$ a month 😭. It’s no brainer.
Just saying this because of the amount of stress and anxiety I got from this group, which I understand as I’d be the same if I did it by myself, but just saying, please use professionals and chill out.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shares their experience of getting a Digital Nomad Visa approved in 8 days while in Hanoi. They recommend using an agent, specifically ISSA Compass, which simplifies the process and reduces stress despite the cost. Several comments reflect varying opinions on using agents versus applying independently, including questions about the inclusion of fees and the timelines for responses.
Staying in Danang for 10 days is cheaper and a more fun way to spend money than the agent you are shilling. But I guess you are ISSA Compass yourself, anonymous 🤣
The punters that use agents are usually ones trying to get through the net, need a bit of guidance imo
If you have read the requirements and you meet everything, there would be no stress, you are likely to be approved in a week, it’s that simple, if you tick all the boxes no problems. Apply your self it’s not rocket science, it’s not an A level test paper 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏻♀️
Cause I uploaded stuff on the 2nd , and they asked me for further proof if I was still in ho chi Minh city on the 4th and I haven't heard anything back since
Thanks for sharing. I like to use an agent as well for some cases but the most people here are just afraid or don’t matching the requirements… I did it on my own and it was pretty easy compared to a tax report in Germany for example…
