Hello, do anyone know how much time do you have to provide documents when further documents are requeted ? 

I'm applying for a DTV visa at french ambassy 

they asking me 3 bank statements history of my saving account with over 15k euros on it

my saving account is empty but I have 30k on my current account, unfortunately, it was not since 3 months when i made the visa reqest, because they have been transfered from a stock account i closed the 14th august.

when I did the request i'v shown the value of my stock account on july and made this explication letter so they can understand the 31k transfer is from myself to mysefl but looks like they did'nt understand or idk 

now i'm wondering if i should wait on 14th november to provide full 3months of holding on my main account, or if i should try to submit again now that we are in november i have august,septemeber,octoboer statements but in the beginning of august there is not the 14k euros they want, but a transfer mid august 

do anyone have experience in this, had a similar case and made it ? 

I wanted to live mid november, asap in reality I'd have liked to go now haha

I'm scared to supply documents and getting refused, having to pay another 350euros and get the 3 weeks of delay again for just waiting 2 weeks of holding the funds 

while maybe i should wait the 14 to have full 3 months so i don't pay again, and i think the review is faster ? 

but prices of flights become expensive for last minutes flights so, haha

There is a lot of confusion about what "bank statement" actually means - from both sides of the table. And it also seems to mean different for different types of visa. Basically, a "bank statement" is a document issued by a bank confirming what kind of money you have in the bank, and optionally the minimum balance for X months. But actually, most embassies accept bank account transaction lists or even screen dumps from online banking accounts. On top of this confusion, many embassies change the wording for the financial requirements again and again. If your bank will be happy to issue a signed document stating how much money you have in the bank in total and stating the minimum balance for 3 months, this will always work. If needed a bank statement from several banks. A KYC stating the current amount with the bank(s) will most likely work also.

I called my bank and initially they said they would make me a document assuming how much money I have for 3 months across the différents accounts but finally received an email saying they couldn’t make this document assuming held money retrospectively 😐

Killian Dherment, yes, that is a common issue with some banks. What most banks will do is a KYC (Know Your Client) as this is a standard document in banking. This is a signed document stating your current balance at the bank (across accounts). Then try send it in an email to the Embassy in your country explaining the situation and ask if the attached document(s) will be workable?

You need to have three month bank statements from any bank. If your account has been held in three different banks-in your name- submit statements for those three months from each of those banks. If the money was held in an account and it was not a bank, they may say that it’s not suitable because it’s not from a bank. If it were me, I will make sure that all of them were bank statements, and then put the letter explaining where the money was held but if you’re not sure that it was held in a bank, I will let them cancel this application and then wait until I have the documents for three consecutive months. They give you 15 days from the date of the email to submit the documents. You can ask them if the weekends count for those days or not.

Money was held in the same bank before but in a stock account, I gave a statement of value of the shares in June (30k€, no statement for July given by bank) and the statement of the current account with explanation that I closed the stock account and transferred fund to the the current but looks like they didn’t understand or they flnt accept
