Has anyone here had experience with Roi Et Immigration Office?

I am interested in knowing how easy or hard they are to deal with, I am going to be retiring on a marriage visa.
Answer summary
The Roi Et Immigration Office is generally viewed positively by expats. Several users report that the staff is helpful and efficient, often completing processes, such as retirement extensions, in under an hour. It's advised to approach immigration offices respectfully and come prepared with the necessary documentation. Experiences shared highlight that while each immigration office has its unique processes, Roi Et is considered one of the better locations.

You have had lots of answers with some great local knowledge. I don’t have that but I have had dealings with many immigration offices.

They are there to issue visas and extensions, that is there job. They don’t want to deport foreigners as you may read on other forums or the “news”.

Always go to immigration respectfully dressed with a smile on your face. Ask them what you need to provide by the way of documentation and witnesses and give them exactly that. Having more of one thing does not give you credit over another. I have heard so many time I have 2 million Baht in my bank account why do I need to provide my rental agreement or a map? Because they asked for it is always the answer. A trick with documentation is give them what they ask for but have other other supporting documents with you if you get asked for them.

Good luck on your life in Thailand.

I depended on them when I was teaching at the Rajabhat. They were great. They gave excellent advice to one of my colleagues after he stopped teaching (retirement).

You mean you will be here on a marriage visa, I deal with Maha Sarakham Immigration and they are great. When dealing with immigration wherever you are, listen to what they say ask questions and never get upset, listening to others on this site, Immigration.offices are all different. So front up at Rioet and see how it goes.
