Well.  Just to report on my TM 30 report. 

Filled online form last night. 

Received user name and password. 

Filled in 2nd form. 

Was told completed.

Phoned immigration this morning. 

No help on confirmation. 

Went back online, filled small form. 

told will get confirmation in 7days.

Phoned immigration, finally confirmed. 

Report complete.

Easy - now download the section 38 app (for iphone) and you can do it via your phone instead of needing a computer

BUT remember most of the time you STILL need to do a print out of it because no immigration office I know of will accept you just showing them your phone to prove you did it.

okay, when you fill out the TM30 ONLINE, especially using a PC, after you enter the data, and press the blue "move this data to the chart" tab you need to press the "floppy disc" icon on the top right of the screen to SAVE the data

THEN you need to EXIT the system and go back in using the "search" function and put in your "check in date" in BOTH date search boxes.

It will bring up your data and you do a screen grab of that and print it (there is NO print receipt function on this program it is passive data entry only).
