E-Visa Remark Incorrect

I applied for my Non-B visa in Laos, had the E-visa approved and successfully entered Thailand on the E-Visa.

My school will now submit documents to the MOE, however they have noted the Remarks: section on the E-Visa says "Teacher at...."

This is incorrect as the visa applied for was for a staff visa, under Educational Personnel for Administrative Duties as per my visa application documents.

Whichever role, the visa is Non-B.

Is there a way to have the remark on the E-Visa paper corrected?
Summary so far
The user is seeking assistance to correct an incorrect remark on their E-Visa, which describes their role as a teacher instead of reflecting their actual application as a staff member for administrative duties under the Non-B visa category. The user is unsure about the process to amend the remark on their E-Visa.

If its urgent, make sure you have sufficient funds (min 500k baht as it is the required amt). Do not take the risk bcz you need 3mos before you can re-apply. It is always good to be on a safer side.

Once you land Thailand and you were unlucky, IO can always re-check all your documents and deny your entry. Some even check your actual balance on the spot.

Hoping for the best! Good luck!

I held it in a currency that wasn't baht too, so this one is familiar. I kept 2.5 million yen in my Japanese bank account, in yen, for more than three months, and Tokyo accepted it. No Thai account, no conversion. "Or the equivalent" really does mean equivalent.

What I can't tell you is how Tokyo did the conversion, or on which date they read it. I never saw that part of the process, and I'm not going to guess at it for Bern.

On your actual question — topping up now — I only have this. My agent's warning to me was that recently deposited money can draw questions, which is why I left the balance completely alone for more than three months instead of moving it around. That was advice about deposits, not about your specific top-up, so treat it as one data point rather than an answer.

If it were mine I'd ask the post directly before I moved any money. Getting that in writing costs you an email; guessing costs you the application fee.

You should add more than the bare minimum for buffer just to be safe.

Well, let’s hope the exchange rate for Swiss Franc will go up and your balance will stay over 500k for the next 3 months because you will have to wait at least 3 more months if you don’t want to risk a rejection.🤦‍♂️ Seriously?😳 If you have to apply for the visa as soon as possible, why would you keep only the exact amount risking that the exchange rate will go down?

Thai baht typically at its weakest in July. I wouldnt bet on your swiss money gaining strength in the next 8 months.

You should have kept in mind. 500k is the bare minimum, and they can still reject you .

I’d say try your luck now. But put some more money in and prepare to possible rejection

Damage control. Put extra funds back into the account and start counting again. In the meantime ask for a multiple entry visa.

As mentioned on the Thai Embassy‘s website an „amount of no less than 500,000 THB (e.g. bank statement for the last 3 months, sponsorship letter)“ is requested.

London just said 11k£ to me which is actually just under 500kB 🤷‍♂️

Look at the embassy website. Usually the amount you need is specified in local currency, not Thai baht. Often it is a little more than 500k THB

Also, what embassy are you using? Each embassy has their own currency conversion rate, so the equivalent in baht actually might be 550,000 and not 500,000

DTV_BegPecker Normally exchange rates embassies use are not an advantage for applicant.

that is why I ask. This guy is suggesting they he barely has over 500,000baht and that might not actually be enough if you look at the rate that embassy actually uses

DTV_BegPecker Exactly, and apart from requirements, when it is that difficult to comply, it might be not the best choice to try to live in Thailand anyway because there is no social security system.

I wouldn't gamble a visa application on the exchange rate moving in your favour. If the requirement is 500,000 THB equivalent at the point they assess the application, I'd want a comfortable buffer above it, not 501,000 on a good currency day. The important question is whether your embassy requires that balance to have been maintained for a specific period, because that determines whether topping it up now actually creates a problem.

i come to Vietnam to apply a week ago. I still in Vietnam and planed to apply at Ho Chi Minh. I can add more funds Ofcours but I’m scared that the embassy not gonna accept my funds as 3 months in my bank account or prior.

if you don't have the required funds in your bank for 3 months HCMC will reject your application. What's going to be critical for you is the exchange rate the consulate will use when assessing your application. The only way to find that out is to ask them.

That's the detail I'd confirm with the Thai Embassy in Ho Chi Minh City before submitting. Adding a buffer solves the exchange-rate problem, but whether they require the full 500,000 THB equivalent to have been continuously held for a particular period is a separate question. I wouldn't risk an application based on assumptions about how they interpret that.

As what you need to make the 500.000. If you have it add more
