How can I correct the remarks on my E-Visa if it inaccurately states my role in Thailand?

E-Visa Remark Incorrect

I applied for my Non-B visa in Laos, had the E-visa approved and successfully entered Thailand on the E-Visa.

My school will now submit documents to the MOE, however they have noted the Remarks: section on the E-Visa says "Teacher at...."

This is incorrect as the visa applied for was for a staff visa, under Educational Personnel for Administrative Duties as per my visa application documents.

Whichever role, the visa is Non-B.

Is there a way to have the remark on the E-Visa paper corrected?
Summary so far
The user has encountered an issue where the remarks on their E-Visa inaccurately state their position as 'Teacher' instead of their actual role as 'Educational Personnel for Administrative Duties.' The user seeks advice on how to correct this mistake. The conversation expands into related discussions concerning TM30 registration requirements, with various users sharing mixed experiences regarding whether a new TM30 is necessary upon re-entry to Thailand, especially with a long-term visa.

Yes, need to do. You have long term tourism visa…

You DONT need to renew your tm 30 if you have long term visa like retirement/family/business..

You can discuss if 180 days is long term or not, but the reason you have to do TM30 again is that every new stay needs a new TM30.

The other visa you mention normally you extend the current stay.

When you leave the country you need a RE entry permit to keep your current stay alive.

On DTV your stay end when you leave the country and you get a new one when you enter again, technically not re-enter.

It is office dependent. For example if you travel internationally when you return Chiang Mai insist your TM30 is updated.

I asked IO last time and she said after every international travel, u have to register TM30 again even if staying at the same address.

Some IOs may be more lenient. If u want peace of mind, best to just do it.

Yeah, everybody else is wrong because only your experience counts. Do you wear blinkers your whole life? Only your experience is valid in this world? 5555555555 you can not state a definitive rule only where it concerns yourself. Other people have different experiences in different offices

I made my 90 days and presented my previous Tm30, they said not valid and maybe wanted to catch the 1600thb but I had my online Tm30 printed out... It is still a shame that you always have to redo the online Tm30 because for 90 days they not accept. Another que and 15 minutes wasted.

The TM30 normally should be done by the property owner, and not cost you any time.

I had no problems at all with the printed one when I did TM47 reporting, so your conclusion I have never done is completely wrong and ignorant.

@Luit ****************
as I see you never have done it... The printed digital one is not accepted for the 90 days report, so you have to que for a physical Tm30 and que again for 90 days.

What is costing 15 minutes? Printing the digital version should be easy.

Same for resident certificate.

I am the property owner and as owner I only supply a online Tm30 for my renters, so they have to convert it to the physical one and waste probably 15 minutes 😊

You don't really need to do it again as you're going back and forth with same visa number and living at the same place. You just need to do 90-day report after staying in Thailand for 90 days.

Anonieme deelnemer 126 Property owner has the obligation to report every visit of a foreigner within 24 hours with form TM30.

When you enter again with DTV it is a new visit, meaning need to report again.

Some offices consider returning on the same stay like with non-o visa not as a new visit, even when you left the country, and therefore not need new reporting.
Greg ********
Greg ********
Anonymous participant 126 yes, you do. In many offices, if you have travelled outside of the country, you need an updated TM30. They will not accept an older version for your 90 days.

Usually office dependent. Chiang Mai wants one after international but not domestic travel as example. Jomtien did not need updating of same address even international.

wrong, Jomtien want update

Jomtien, go backwards and forwards, but the majority of the times I did my 90 days at Jomtien, I did not have to update TM30 when returning to the same address. They must not like you.

You don't need to apply new TM 30 as DTV is multiple entry visa. That's the information from IO when I went with new TM30 for 90 days report.

Yeah, you guys are right. TM30 isn’t something we need to apply for. I just asked my household to provide a new TM30 when I re-entered Thailand and when I did my 90-day reporting. Then the IO told me that I don’t need a new TM30 for the 90-day report because I hold a DTV, which is a multiple-entry visa. I’m just sharing my experience

@Char*****
That is from top to bottom wrong.

As Luit pointed out: you do not apply for an TM30.

It is a simple registration of your place of lviing: and yes you have to do it all the time you reenter the country.

Or how the funk should immigration know "oh, you live again at your old place?"

Not having one and being picked up by the police can be fined btw.
Luit *****************

@Char*****
Having to report TM30 is not really a visa thing but just something the property owner has to do for every visit of a foreigner.

TM30 is not something you apply for, it is the obligation of the property owner to report visits of foreigners.

For DTV entering again just means a new visit, and that has to be reported by the property owner within 24 hours.
Anonymous ******************

Yes, you need to inform within 24 hours to update TM30 everytime you leave and re-enter Thailand, even if you stay at the same address.
Morgui ********

Yes you have to update after each reentry even with the same adress, obviously if you not gonna do a 90 days report or request any official documents then nobody will ask for it. I have been fined once for not having done the update during the first week after my arrival when I needed an updated one.

Some offices require you to renew your TM30 even when you have just been out of the province, but others do not. You need to enquire at your local immigration office.

For a new stay in the country your landlord always need to file a new TM30, sometimes this is not necessary for a return on the same stay like on non-o visa.

The difference in handing this sounds strange, but it also causes that 90 day reporting for DTV holders almost always has to be done in person.
Anonymous ******************

You do not need to present TM30 when arriving to Thailand. Just do your TDAC. As long as you have valid documentation in regards to your DTV visa then all should be fine

BECAUSE YOU HAVE NONE.

just ask your landlord, should be straightforward. I’ve never heard of airport immigration asking to check TM30, although I have heard them check residency, so just have your rental agreement in hand for peace of mind.

@Harmony ***
Just notify your landlord about your arrival date and request a new one if you want it. You don't need TM30 just for being back here unless you're doing 90 days report or other stuff later.
