Is anyone from this group from Australia who has successfully been issued a letter from the embassy/ consulate to extend their current Thai visa?

I emailed them with my situation last Friday and received a friendly reply then Tuesday received an update suggesting to request their letter just a couple of days before my visa runs out

Need to send them your name, date of birth, passport number and phone number. I also attached a copy of my passport and the page with visa and stamps
