Hi there, is it true the sleeper train from Chiang Mai doesnt connect to the old Train Station in the center of Bangkok? in any case, what are the best stops to select if getting off in Bangkok early mornings? I m trying to buy the tickets offline now in the CM train station to depart in a couple of days.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The sleeper train from Chiang Mai does not connect to the old train station in downtown Bangkok; it will terminate at the new Bang Sue Grand Station, now known as Aphiwat. Passengers can use taxis or the MRT to reach the city center from Bang Sue. If purchasing tickets offline at the Chiang Mai train station, it's confirmed that it's possible to buy for another person if you have their name and passport details.
@everybody do u know if each person needs to go in person? or one of us can buy offline for the second person? in this case, what d be needed? names? dob? photo of id?

one person can buy for all, however need to take photo ID like passport, Thai ID, or Thai licence for each person., the tickets are printed with names for each traveller
