Everything else question here:

Does anyone know if trains are operating at the moment? Need to go to surat Thani.Hua lamphong is closed (?) and I can’t find any information about departures from bang sue central station… Thai railways website is also not helpful.

Thanks in advance & stay safe.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking information on the current status of train services in Thailand, specifically for traveling to Surat Thani, and mentions the potential closure of Hua Lamphong station and difficulty finding information on departures from Bang Sue Central Station.

I got the train to Hua Hin last week. Contrary to web-sites, I couldn't get it from Hualamphong or Bang Sue, I had to go to Bang Bamru station. Suggest you check at a station the day b4 travel in case of mote changes.

exactly what I experienced… I am in the train right at the moment. Hua lamphong is still operating for ticket service and a few trains still depart from there. Southbound trains depart all from bang bamru.

I would guess Bangkok is still Hua Lampong as Bang Sue is on there as a seperate station

I just returned from Hua lamphong. They still run the ticket office and some trains depart from there. If somebody here wants to drive to surat Thani by train. The departure station here in Bangkok is bang bamru.

if you are near any train station with booking office you can book and pay for any train journey.

ahhyes. I found this one too. But I am super confused about “Bangkok”. Which station is it? Hua lamphong or bang sue?
