Does the O-A visa still allow unlimited entry and exit while renewing on each entry as it did before COVID-19?

Does anyone know? When I received my last O-A visa in America 2 years ago, it allowed unlimited exit and entry. And it renewed each time on entry. Does this visa still work the same? I know many things changed after covid.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The O-A visa, which allows for multiple entries into Thailand, is valid for one year from the date of issue. Each time you enter Thailand before the end of this period, you receive a stamp that can extend your stay for another year or according to your insurance's validity. However, after the first year, the visa itself is no longer valid even if you can still stay based on the re-entry stamp.

Nothing renews.

An OA visa is valid for 1 year from the day it's issued.

Each time you enter Thailand before this end date, you will be stamped in for 1 year, or as long as your insurance is valid if less than a year. This means if you leave and re-enter Thailand right before the end date you get stamped in for another year, you can get about 2 years out of it. Your OA visa is no longer valid during this second year though as it already ended.

thank you for the reply. I am in Thailand now on a O visa I got last October in Thailand. I think I will go back to America and get the OA visa there and then come back. This way I do not need to tie my money up in a Thai bank account.
