TLDR : Answer Summary
There are mixed opinions on whether Kasikorn Bank charges fees for incoming transfers from the UK. Some users report no fees when using services like Wise, while others mention potential charges around 400 THB depending on the amount and anti-money laundering checks. One user stated that they have not been charged for transfers from their Santander account in over 15 years, indicating that fees primarily come from the sending bank instead.

What currency are you transferring? Thai Bank’s exchange rate are not better than at money changers.

I transfer from my Santander account to my kasikorn account I transfer Sterling, in 15 years plus I haven't been charged. Only charges come from my uk bank for sending.
So you do a bank transfer direct from Santander? All UK banks charge for doing a bank transfer, so even if the receiving bank doesn't take anything, it still defeats not losing any money apart from the exchange rate commission.
depends on what type of bank account you have. I pay a monthly fee £12 which gives me travel insurance. Basic crap.car break down recovery. And no charges for international transfers.
Which was £25 per transfer b4 I changed account. You must have a minimum of £1500 per month going into the account.

Not if you're using Wise, you receive exactly what they say
I asked this Graham because when I used Wise, the transaction says the receiver will get the baht on the transaction deal, but they also say that receiving banks may charge a fee, ie., SCB take 400 baht off the figure quoted when you initiate the transaction from your end.
Sounds like you're using a card for payment. If you use bank transfer there's no fee, not even with SCB, as it's classified a domestic transfer from the Thai bank account of Wise into another Thai bank account
I don't have a Wise bank account. I've bread too many horror stories if something goes wrong, so I just use them to transfer direct from my UK bank card to a Thai SCB account. Bank transfers at least by British banks carry a charge by the British bank.
I don't have a Wise bank account either. I simply transfer from bank to bank via Wise. I don't keep anything in any Wise account. It's a transfer that takes a few hours. Never had a problem
To simplify my question. I send money via Wise app. I instruct the app. how much I want to transfer. My bank card details are already registered with Wise. So I go on the app. select how much I want to send. Select a Thai person's bank account that I want to send the money too. Enter the GBP equivalent of the THB I want to send. Then select the reason. Then next window enter my security three digits on my card. Then click conform and the transfer takes seconds or a minute or so. The receiving bank (SCB) then deducts 400 THB fee. I do not have a Wise bank account with funds and donations transaction in a one off basis. So Wise when I do a transaction converts the GBP to THB before it sends to money to a Thai bank account that is in a Thai person's name and not mine. Hope this explains my way of sending monies and going back to what I've said SCB then deducts 400 THB from the receiving account. I want to ascertain if I use exactly the same procedure to send monies to a Kasikorn account in a Thai person's name would Kasikorn deduct a charge from the receiving account. Thanks for any help ppl.
