Do you need to provide a flight booking for a Non-O visa application based on retirement in Thailand?
Question to any Aussies recently applied for a non-o based on retirement. Did you need to prove a flight booking in/out? Also what was the waiting period through Canberra embassy. I will book my flight up for late Feb, so Early Jan should be sufficient?

My visa took about five weeks and I actually booked a return flexi flight for backup. As it is I need to go back home for about a week to sort a few legal matters so the flight wasn't wasted

I am an Aussie and did an application from Sydney in September and I only bought and submitted a one way ticket in the application. All approved and I am now in Thailand. I applied with the Sydney embassy and I allowed 6 weeks before I flew I had it approved in just under 4 weeks. I think as long as you allow at least 4 weeks it should be all good.
