Once the Elite visa is put in your passport while in Thailand, does getting your first 1 year stamp require a border bounce?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Once the Elite visa is issued in your passport while in Thailand, you do not need to leave the country for a border bounce to get your first 1-year stamp. Instead, you need to schedule an appointment with the Elite Visa staff to finalize the visa placement, which involves an additional fee.

On a thread comment the Elite Visa appears NOW EXPEDITED issue ...APPLY ASAP

"I'd rather extend mine. Sounds a bit uncertain. Btw due to coronavirus these days it only takes a few days to apply for elite visa, in January waiting time for my customers was 2 to 3 months. Most elite visa applicants are Chinese"

Quite reassuring if true, in theory nothing should stop me from getting it then. Thanks James!

No you have to schedule an appointment with the EV staff so they can make an appointment at CW for your visa to be placed in your passport...I believe you have to pay ฿1,900 for it

Thanks, very interesting. Now I'm wondering if I can do the whole Elite visa process in the 53 days I have left here... Could be worth a try.
