TLDR : Answer Summary
A South African expat currently in Thailand on a tourist exempt extension is looking for advice on the best location for a border run and the requirements for applying for a Non-B visa to teach in Thailand. Comments suggest doing a border run to Malaysia, as it is the closest and easiest option, and discuss requirements for the Non-B visa including necessary documents and qualifications.

If you don't have a bachelors degree, you can't teach in Thailand at a government school.

If you don't have a TOEIC of 600 points or more, you can't teach in Thailand at a government school.

Those are the rules, sorry :\

Not the right time to look for a teaching job. You do have a TOEIC of 600 points or more, right?

Plus, hiring usually occurs in April, so I suggest getting a tourist visa, and using the border bounces as a last opportunity. You only get two land bounces in a calendar year.

Easy is the border with Malaysia as it is the closest by. Not sure how long you like to stay inside Thailand but if longer than 30 days a visa would be a better option

Google's your friend, but I'm guessing down south to Malaysia. South Africans should be able to enter and bounce out. How long are you planning on staying?
