Hello, we are Vietnamese planning to travel to Thailand in December, i have some questions & would be much appreciate your help! ❤️❤️
1. Do i need to do PCR test for my 9 months old baby 72 hrs before the flight? And do they require travel medical insurance for infant as well?
2. If they do PCR test upon arrival, how do they do that on infants? (I'm so nervous & worry about this..)
3. Can a SHA+ hotel reservation be booked for 2 persons (fully vaccinated) that will depart from 2 different countries (both are in the low-risk list)?
Thank you for your help 🤗 ! (Just attached a random picture so we don't get lost..)

TLDR : Answer Summary
Vietnamese travelers inquiring about travel to Thailand with an infant have several vital questions. They need to confirm that all travelers, including babies, must present a negative RT-PCR test taken 72 hours before departure. Upon arrival, infants will only undergo a non-invasive saliva test. Additionally, while it's suggested to check with the hotel regarding reservations for fully vaccinated guests from different countries, it's unclear whether travel medical insurance is required for infants, but it's advisable to confirm that as well.
Not 100% sure on the insurance issue so I’ll let others confirm. You’ll need to complete the ThailandPass system to gain entry. Your child can be added to your application.
technically it’s mandatory. Some have entered without. Generally immigration tend not to care because they know you can get an extension, but your airline may not let you board without one.
All persons, including infants need a RT-PCR negative test result 72 hours prior to flying (48 if transiting Singapore). On arrival the infant will be given a saliva test only. If that were to show positive then they would do a PCR test to confirm.
You’d need to check with your hotel on the sharing issue. Some may allow it some may not.
