Do KLM require a Covid test for passengers flying from Bangkok to London, especially for children?

Hello,

I will soon be flying from Bangkok to London with KLM with my 2 year old son. I know I am now required to a covid test prior to flying as per UK rules, and according to these rules my son does not. My question is, does anyone know whether KLM require passengers to do a Covid test before boarding the flight? Will my son need to do a test? I know some airlines require this but I can’t get clear information from KLM. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether KLM requires passengers, specifically a 2-year-old child, to take a Covid-19 test before flying from Bangkok to London, despite UK regulations stating the child does not need a test. Some airlines have different policies, and the user is unable to find clear information from KLM.

When you fly out, it's the destination's rules that obtain, ie. Thailand's. But you will also need a negative PCR or antigen test result before you return to the UK - a 48 hour one as opposed to the 72 hour one required by Thailand. Message KLM here. They will respond:

dont forget to prebook a private uk covid test, prior to departure from thailand. And fill in your passenger locator form and put the booking reference on it ( form is on yougov page).
