Hi guys.

I was told by a travel agent that if I fly from Bangkok to the UK via Abu Dhabi with Etihad, then I need to have a covid test up to 96 hours before boarding or they will not let me on.

Anyone heard any up to date prices for covid test and where you can get one.

I live in kanchanaburi province.

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquires about the COVID-19 testing requirements needed when flying from Bangkok to the UK via Abu Dhabi with Etihad. The community responds with mixed experiences regarding test requirements and where to get tested. Some travelers report no test needed, while others confirm that a PCR test must be taken within 96 hours prior to check-in and from an approved hospital. Prices for COVID tests vary, with some suggesting hospitals like Phyathai and Bangkok Hospital, while discussions about quarantine procedures and general travel concerns ensue.

If you have your own house and proof i.e.yellow book can you quarantine in your own home or do you have to go to a hotel

special hotels are assigned for quarantined with medical supervision of one assigned hospital.

Quarantine at home is no longer possible.

For Thai people, they can also use the government-run facilities for free.

I flew last Sunday with Eva Air direct to LHR from Bangkok. No medical needed, brilliant service. I shall be flying with them in future after Emirates let me down so badly. Enjoy your self quarantine!

If you're flying Etihad then yes, you need a PCR test with 96 hour validity from the result to check-in.

what “ China thing”? “ a lady” not wife? Can not spouse it back? “ two children” / if they r yours, you can try and get back with “ father visas”.... if none of above ... then you are stuck

you "have a lady", meaning what? are u legally married to a thai woman?

when u left, u didnt see any warning signs or speculation on the borders closing due to this " China thing" ?

best thing for you to do is wait, and perhaps send money to help your "lady", and her dependent children.

As others have said, the test has to be from one of their approved hospitals. All the info is on the Eithad site.
