TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking information about renewing a non-B visa as a teacher in Thailand. The community suggests that if he renews his contract with the school, he should be eligible for another extension, implying that a new non-B visa may not be necessary.

What is the question? You cancel your Work Permit and your Extension of Stay at your last day of working and leave that day the country. That if you decide no to renew your contract.

For the Ministry of Labor normally a few days, to make a new contract and file all the documents is up to your employer

As you ask here 2 month before needed, do not wait till the last date to apply for the extensions. If you do not manage to get the Work Permit extended with 1 year before 10 Jan, you have to cancel your Extension of Stay at Immigration, leave the country and start all over again with new visa and new work permit. Good luck.

normally if all the documents are correct you get the 1 year Extension of Stay directly into your passport. But sometimes there are some pages missing, or not mentioned on the hand out, and you have to make a new copy and come back next working day. You have 30 day to get all things done, the longer you wait the more stressful it become if a document fails.

IF you get a new contract, your visit the Ministry of Labor before the last validity date of your Work Permit and apply for a 1 year Extension, and you visit the Immigration Office for the hand out with requirements to apply for a 1 year Extension of Stay based on working. Make sure you meet all these requirements and between 30 days and your last permitted up to ../../.. date stamped in your passport you apply for a new 1 year Extension of Stay.

@Robert ******
the question is if i renew my contract, what process occurs after? Do i have to get a new non b?

If you renew the contract, you'll get another extension.

If they don't give you the paperwork on time...

1. Your extension of stay will expire, and you'll need a new visa (tourist at first, then probably a non-b). Or...

2. If you are this worried, maybe you need to find a difference schools. Government schools do have a reputation of "back termination" someone, where they simply let the extension of stay expire and not pick up the new contract.

If there is, the school will give the paperwork to you
