TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they must cancel their existing Non OA visa at a local immigration office before applying for a Non B visa at the Embassy, or if the Embassy will handle the cancellation automatically. A comment suggests that if all paperwork from the employer is prepared, the user can cancel their retirement visa and apply for the Non B visa on the same day at immigration.

If you have all your paperwork from the company you will work for, then you cancel your retirement visa, and apply for your type B on the same day at immigration. Then your work permit. If it's a BOI company then you can do it all at the one stop immigration office on the 18th floor of the. ChomChuri Square building. If not then Chaeng Wattana, and then the labor department if you are in Bangkok
