Now that the visa on arrival has been made 60 days , does that mean I don't need to have a exiting flight booked for within 30 days any longer , to be able to board my flight in Australia? Aslong as exiting flight is booked within 60 days?
Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
A kiwi living in Australia is seeking clarification on whether an exit flight needs to be booked within 30 days now that Thailand's visa exempt stamp allows for a stay of 60 days. Commenters clarify that the visa exempt stamp allows a 60-day stay without a visa, but airlines might still require a return ticket out of Thailand within that 60-day period. Additionally, some travel insurance policies may necessitate having a return ticket booked to avoid issues with coverage.
Check your travel insurance as well, some policies require a return ticket booked otherwise they can refuse coverage. Lucky I did last trip or I would have been $40k AUD out of pocket.
You can extend that 60 days by another 30 days just by swinging into Thai Immigration, pay them 1900 baht and presto..you can stay for a total of 3 months (90 days) all up.
thanks mate. Yeah I know this , but airlines will still require the outgoing flight for within the 60 days. I used to argue the point when I'd book an outgoing flight for day 59 and they wouldn't let me go when it was 30 days 🤦♂️ I explained about extending it and they wouldn't listen
