Hey guys ready to enter Thailand in a couple days… Thank you for all your previous advice, one more question, I am unvaxxed…do I need PCR or rapid test to enter? I went to the Thai Embassy website and all it says is Covid test but does not specify rapid or PCR.

TLDR : Answer Summary
An unvaccinated traveler entering Thailand needs to provide a negative PCR or certified rapid antigen test result taken within 72 hours before their flight.

It depends. If you're vaccinated you just need proof of that. Gets checked airline when checking in

If you’re vaxxed then you just need proof. If not then you need a PCR or certified rapid antigen test negative result within 72 hours of flying.

Sorry to ask.. if you're vaccinated but didn't have the booster, are you still considered vaccinated?
Praewah **********
Thanks. I got my vaccine last year in July & August and I didn't know if it's still considered as fully vaccineted. The QR codes shows a validation date till January 2023 but better to ask than just go like that

there is no time limit for vaccinations in Thailand (other than the second shot at least 14 days prior).

Unvaxxed - what is certified rapid antigen test?

called different things in different places. In Thailand it’s referred to as an ATK test. In UK Lateral Flow test, elsewhere a rapid antigen test. The same test you can buy at any pharmacy but they need it certified by a medical centre.
