With all the uncertainly with immigration rules, I would it be possible to go to your home country once a year and get a new O-A visa instead of going to immigration in Thailand? We still have to have the equivalent 800K THB in my home country bank. I was just thinking of having a Thai bank account for my spending money and get my O-A in my home country. Exchange rate is low now.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the feasibility of obtaining a new O-A visa from one's home country rather than renewing it within Thailand. Commenters suggest that while there is uncertainty regarding recognition of foreign bank accounts, individuals can generally attain multiple O-A visas if they meet the requirements. Notably, those seeking to renew may need to be aware of new health insurance regulations that are set to be implemented.
