As a freelancer, do the asked for documents include tax returns? Being a remote, digital nomad, this isn't always possible. Or is this only for US citizens applying in the US?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Freelancers applying for a Thai visa are generally not required to submit tax returns unless specifically requested by the embassy. However, embassies can ask for additional documents, such as income proof or tax returns, especially for US citizens.
It is not required to add this in your application, but yes... ANY embassy can ask you to submit additional documentation, i.e. tax return and/or proof of income.
