Have a tax filling question related to the DTV Soft Power option. I have not applied yet.

I have seen posts stating being asked to submit the previous years Tax Filing. Is this a requirement for everyone and is it posted anywhere?

I have comprehension issue reading so I may have read it and misinterpreted it.

For the past 5 years I have not been legally required to file taxes in my home country, so I haven't. My current retirement income is tax free and I am to young for a Thailand retirement visa.

I can file taxes in my home country if required for the DTV.

Thanks for any knowledge.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement to submit previous years' tax filings when applying for the DTV Soft Power option is generally applicable primarily to applicants utilizing freelancer or remote work schemes. If you have not been legally required to file taxes in your home country for the past five years, it may not be necessary for your application, especially if your retirement income is tax free and you are ineligible for a retirement visa.
