TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquired about the need for tax return documents when applying for a visa in Vietnam, particularly since their income is not taxable in their country. Comments indicate that while tax documents are typically only needed for freelancer, workcation, or remote worker visas, individuals without tax residency may still face challenges. If requested by authorities, providing an explanation letter may be a possible approach.

i also have problem with being "tax resident of nowhere" so no tax returns. I just selected unemployed with $0 income. Muay thai route. It is the truth anyway.

If they ask it, submit a letter of explanation and hope for the best.
