No, South African passport holders cannot obtain a Non-B (employment) visa from the Thai Embassy in Penang as it has not been possible for some time. The only consulate available for South African passport holders in Malaysia is located in Kota Bharu. Alternatively, visa applications can also be made at consulates in Laos.

Only consulate in Malaysia S/A passport holders can use is the one in Kota Bharu.

Otherwise you go to Lao (Vientiane or Savannakhet)
