Can I use my Seaman's contract to apply for a DTV visa while working offshore and spending time in Thailand?
I have applied for the DTV using my Seaman’s contract. I work overseas for a US employer and paid into a UK account. It is a salaried job and I work for 4 months then I have 8 months off when I will be in Thailand and not working (although being paid!) Anyone had experience of something similar?

I was accepted as I work 4 weeks on 4 weeks off on a , ship in brazil , I went for workcation i know many other offshore guys that have also been accepted as they know many of us come to Thailand and spend most our wages in the bars

The DTV Workation option is for remote work which you don't do but with 8 months free every year you could look at applying under one of the soft power options
