Can I use a Thai bank statement to prove funds for a DTV visa application?
Hi guys, quick question about the DTV visa. I’ve been on a Thai work permit for over 2 years and have a local bank account here. Now that I’m losing my work permit, I want to apply for the DTV.
The issue is all my savings are in my Thai bank account. Will embassies accept a Thai bank statement showing the 500k+ THB balance, or does the financial proof have to be from a foreign bank? Has anyone done this successfully? Appreciate any insights!

While Thai bank account is ok from there mere perspective of proving sufficient funds, it might lead to a more critical evaluation of you intentions in Thailand, like coming from a Thai work permit to switching to workation DTV - which does explicitly not allow for Thai customers / clients / nexus. So take extra care of making your case plausible.
