1. If I sign up for boxing in Chiang Mai for DTV 6 months lessons, do I have to stay in Chiang Mai or can I move around Thailand a bit for exploring? Also do I need to have a new contract for language or boxing every 6 months to renew at 180 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can move around Thailand while enrolled in a 6-month boxing program in Chiang Mai for your DTV visa. However, to renew your stay at immigration every 180 days, you need to present a new contract related to your activities, like language lessons or boxing, but there's no requirement to show a contract upon arriving back from a border hop. A comment also inquires about the cost and source of the 6-month DTV program.

You are free to explore Thailand as you wish. To renew your stay at immigration you need to present a new contract. There is no requirement to voluntarily show a contract upon arrival from a border hop. The airport IO can ask to see evidence of activity though
