I am wondering if it is possible to get a non immigrant o visa based on retirement inside Thailand with having 500000 on the Thai account and a monthly pension on my German account. All together more than 800000 a year. What kind of papers du I need to prove my income? Do I have to transfer my pension every month from my German account to my Thai account?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can obtain a Non-Immigrant O visa based on retirement in Thailand using the 'combination method' which includes having 500,000 THB in a Thai bank account and a monthly pension exceeding 800,000 THB annually. You will need a notarized letter from the German consulate confirming your pension and proof that your funds were transferred to your Thai account. Additionally, ensure you are on a valid entry stamp; you need 15 to 21 days left on your current visa to apply for the Non-O visa.

Now let's get to the nuts and bolts of what you're trying to do. You meet the proof of funds, BUT for immigration offices to issue an in country 90 day Non-O visa based on retirement inside the country you need to be on a real entry stamp or valid extension <- meaning you can't have gone on the no stamp amnesty

The offices require between 15 and 21 days left on your current stamp to apply for the 90 day Non-O visa. If you have that much time left on your stamp, I'd go to your immigration office and get the list of requirements. If you don't I wouldn't even waste the time going there because you're going to have to leave the country and come back (once they get the borders open for foreigners) to begin the process

You can indeed use the "combination method" to meet the proof of funds for both a Non-O visa and a yearly extension based on being over 50 (retirement)

You would need a notarized letter from the consulate of Germany here stating you get money every month. AND the total of the banked money and the monthly income would have to be over 800K baht for the year AND the banked money portion of the funds would have to be proven to have been transferred into your account from overseas.

IF your embassy does not issue the affidavit of income from abroad notary document then you would need to transfer in to the country into a thai bank account in your name only a minimum of 25K baht a month so you hit the required funds

25K X 12 = 300K baht + 500K baht banked = 800K baht
