TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on extending their exempt visa entry, which is currently valid until April 2, by an additional 30 days. They inquire whether it is possible to apply for the extension immediately or if they need to wait until closer to the expiration date. According to a comment, they can apply for the extension at Immigration without leaving Thailand, though some offices may recommend waiting until 7-10 days before the visa expires. The extension process requires a fee and additional documentation.

You don't need to go out, just extension at Immigration.

Theorically you can get your extension immediately, but some Immigration could ask you to come back just
****
days before stamp expires.

Extension costs 1,900 baht, you need to bring 1 photo, passport copies and fill the TM7 form
