Hello, I’m looking for advice here.

I hold Chinese passport and French residency card. I applied non-immigrant IB visa through eVisa website, the application was submitted to the Thai embassy in Paris.

Due to the surge of visa application in the embassy, I might not be able to get non-immigrant IB visa on my departure date to Thailand, so if that possible for me to enter Thailand with on arrival tourist visa, and wait for the non-immigrant IB visa in Thailand?

If possible, how do I validate the non-immigrant IB visa after I received it in Thailand?

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A person holding a Chinese passport and a French residency card applied for a non-immigrant IB visa but is concerned about delays in processing. They inquire whether they can enter Thailand using a Visa on Arrival while awaiting the IB visa's approval, and how to subsequently validate it in Thailand. Responses suggest that entering Thailand on a Visa on Arrival is feasible, but validating the non-immigrant IB visa requires exiting the country and re-entering with the issued visa.

As Robert said, come here, and IF the Non-B visa is approved you can exit the country and re-enter showing the PDF and get stamped in on that visa without any issues

Suggest that you wait in France for the Visa to be approved.

Arriving in Thailand is not a good idea.

What will you do if the Visa is not approved?

Holding a Chinese passport and not in France may prove difficult for you.

IF you are seeking the Non immigrant I Visa...

The Non-Immigrant IB Visa is for foreign nationals employed to work on investment projects which are under the auspices of the Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI).

@James *******
I already got an employment contract in Thailand, therefore the documents I submitted for the non-immigrant IB visa are sufficient, however I might not get it on time, that’s the only issue….

...you will be fine.

With a Chinese passport you can enter using the 15 day Visa on Arrival which you have to buy on-line before travel or directly on the airport after landing.

You can not validate the Non Immigrant IB visa inside Thailand, therefor you have to leave the country and enter again using the visa.
