Here's a tricky one for you...

If I apply for my Non O for my retirement visa through the E visa platform, meaning I will still have my passport in my posession, can I enter Thailand on exemption while I'm waiting for approval and once I get approved leave and re enter with my Non O? 🤔

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can indeed enter Thailand on exemption while your Non O retirement visa application is pending, provided you are in the country corresponding to the Thai embassy where you applied. Once your visa is approved, you can leave Thailand and return to activate your Non O visa.

As long as you're in the country through whose Thai embassy you apply, then travel and are issued the visa, you can indeed leave and return to activate the visa you received while you were already in Thailand.

I meant AFTER I applied from my country, cab I wait for the approval while in in Thailand?

Yes, and then leave and re-enter to activate it.

Thanks. That seems to be a perfect plan!

Ok. So I don't have to wait in the country that I applied until the visa is approved?
