Please excuse me if this is a silly question. Does anyone know if one can enter Thailand on a tourist visa while waiting for an education visa to process? We have applied and and currently in KL, but would like to go back as soon as possible. I know we would have to leave to activate it, but I don't know if we must stay in KL during the whole processing window. Thanks for any advice!

The vast majority of Thai consulates world wide expect you to remain within their jurisdiction until the process completes. Leaving can jeopardise your application.
