I am looking forward to change my ED Visa to a working VISA with a company that I am currently doing my Internship.

I am from Nepal. Before COVID-19, Nepalese had to go back to their own country to change the VISA type. But now the situation is not good there. I want to avoid this process. I'd be grateful if anyone can recommend me avoid this process of going back and change the VISA here itself. I also heard there is such policy now because of the situation but quite not sure about the details.

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user wants to change their ED visa to a working visa while remaining in Thailand, due to the challenging situation in Nepal post-COVID-19. They are seeking information on whether there is a possibility to change the visa type within Thailand without needing to return to their home country, especially since there are suggestions that new policies may allow for this.

Universally, there should be a law that would allow one to switch into another visa catogary from within the country. Asking people to go back and apply from home is just retarded.
