Planning to return to Samui in May or June 2022. Im thinking of another 90 day visa then change it to a retirement visa when I am there.

Is that possible?

I was also thinking a possible ED visa and take a Thai language course. I know I can change the tourist visa to ED visa but not sure about changing it to a retirement visa. Anyone a le to answer

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original post discusses the possibility of changing a 90-day visa to a retirement visa while in Thailand. Comments from the community suggest that changing a tourist visa to a retirement visa is possible, but some advise obtaining a Non Immigrant O visa before arrival to avoid complications. Things change so rapidly here and there could be big changes at the end of May as well. My personal advice is if you intend to get a retirement

Visa theN start with that in the first instance.

Just get the Non Imm O visa before you come, no need to mess about changing visas when you get here.
